Two "firsts"

We had two "firsts" in the Garden this week.  It was the first Wednesday since we started that it rained!  But we figured the odds were against us and worked on Tuesday instead!  It was a beautiful fall day, starting out chilly but it warmed up and the sun came out.

We planted almost all of the rest of the plant sale leftovers and here are Pat and Barbara J. planting daffodil bulbs.  We had a generous donation of bulbs that had been given to a member of the Horticultural Society.

Speaking of donations ... that was our other "first".  Thank you, Tammy Purdy, for the donation of  a saucer magnolia tree.  We selected a sheltered spot for it where we will hope it will thrive.
